when you also add some color/contrast correction. It's hard to describe, but the lighting and the atmosphere just look and feel more real and less "flat" esp.

It also works nice outdoors, with only some minimal flickering of the vegetation. The global illumination effect is subtle in dimly to normally lit areas, such as the Ul'dah Aetheryte Plaza or the Hall of Flames. The old version dropped my fps from 60 to 15 (on an AMD with the latest (0.14) fps stay at 60 and I can even enable some additional filters in Gshade (FXAA, some color correction, MXAO, Luma sharpen).
